Sapient is looking for Senior Associate QA test professionals with rich experience in Quick Test Professional (QTP). Experience in Automation Framework Designing, Test Estimation, Test Strategy formation, Test Reporting.

Candidates should have a between 4 to 6 years of experience in testing IT applications.

Desirable: Exposure to at least one automation project in the last one year.

  • Testing Strategy & Management Test Strategy
  • Define test strategies for low to medium complexity applications with minimal guidance from test lead
  • Understand& define testing artifacts like Test Strategy and Test Plan on low-medium complexity projects (minimal support)
  • Understand the business need and provide independent inputs on the testing strategy
  • Identify risks and measure potential impact as part of defining test strategy
  • Define Traceability Matrix for low complexity project
  • Test Management
  • Create and implement basic test processes for a small track by applying best practices and lessons learnt
  • Articulate the activities involved in assessing the client test landscape by referring to the existing test assessment artifacts in the testing repository
  • Use automation tools knowledge to implement a functional testing structure (assuming experience of at least one project in last 1 year)
  • Use tools knowledge for compilation and debugging techniques
  • Create and debug automation code with programming language syntax statements, exception handling, data structures, and built in libraries
  • Understands what “Test Automation framework” means and is able to define it on a low complexity project (medium and high complexity project might require some guidance from test lead/manager)
  • Knowledge of Various types of “Test Automation framework” in industry – e.g. Data Driven , Keyword driven, Hybrid etc. and well verse with at least one
  • Estimate daily testing tasks by using standard estimation techniques for a low to medium complexity project with guidance from test/track lead
  • Give inputs on estimation of tasks broken down to different sections
  • Create a test execution plan / strategy for a low – medium complexity application with minimal guidance from test lead
  • Analyse the critical requirements of a low – medium complexity application and be able to create high level scenarios
  • Create low level test cases from high level test cases
  • Create test scripts for Integration Testing (End to end testing)
  • Participate in team interactions during test case creation and execution and adhere to processes
  • Test critical functionality of the application by applying different types of testing (functional, smoke, usability, system and integration testing etc.)
  • Log different types of defects including Security, Usability ,UI, Database related defects
  • Utilize defect management tools and their common functionalities for efficiency
  • Report the test execution status by including the key data points
  • Review project documentation and artifacts including but not limited to Requirement Document, Test Plan, Test Cases and Test Scripts
  • Intermediate level of knowledge on Database and SQL queries
  • Create and articulate the defect lifecycle process with guidance from test lead
  • Product Defect Metrices
  • Define Standard Templates and Approach for logging defects
  • Articulate and adhere to the processes to be followed in the team
  • Track and manage risks identified in the test strategy
  • Create and compile reports for client with guidance from test manager/ test lead
